Missoula County and City of Missoula staff will hold an open house to provide information, answer questions and gather public comment on potential improvements to South Avenue between Reserve Street and the future bridge connecting South Avenue to Blue Mountain Road.

Wednesday, Sept. 7

4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Target Range School Library

The open house will be an opportunity for area residents to provide input on the County and City’s Safe Streets and Roads for All grant application. If awarded, the grant could fund reconstruction of South Avenue between Reserve Street and Clements Road and on Clements Road between South and North avenues. Improvements could include turn lanes, sidewalks, bike lanes, shared-use paths and safe intersection crossings.

The open house will also include an update on the status and funding opportunities for the South Avenue Bridge Project, and proposed roadway improvements between Blue Mountain Road and Clements Road, which would provide safe vehicle, bike and pedestrian access for all users.
